Gift cards is such a huge industry now. They are kind of an odd gift really, as it is the same as giving cash, except you are required to spend it at a specific store or chain of stores.

I personally like them more as it forces the individual to treat themselves and not just put the money in the bank or perhaps spend it on some other expense that isn't really as much of a "gift". Available lots of places, you can also just purchase gift cards online to avoid the hassle of having to go to the specific store.
