Poker has definitely taken the world by storm. It has increased in popularity ten fold it seems since the 90's. The World Poker Tournament and other major shows have definitely caught on. The increase in on-line poker playing sites has made it very affordable for people to just try out. They can play for free, nickels, or place hundred dollar bets.
With people becoming better poker players, it definitely has increased the poker nights being hosted at friends or co-worker's homes. An excellent social activity for men and women to get together and play for their nickels and dimes.
Having a nice poker table at your house can be an excellent addition to your rec room. Looking for poker tables you will see there are a ton of options. Classic long, oval tables with the green fabric or a round wooden table for 4 players. Either way, there are a lot of options. I personally like a table where you can set drinks and sit up on a bar stool nice and high.
