What To Do In A Weak Real Estate Market

There is no question that the real estate market has suffered a downturn recently. A lot of people question what should be done in times like this. If you ask a real estate agent you will probably get a biased perspective that you should still buy, but they might be right too.

The thing with purchasing a home is that if you need a place to live, it serves a purpose right now. You are going to pay rent to someone, why not the mortgage? If you are looking to make money, then it is a different story.

Properties have dropped in price incredibly and there is a lot of selection as the sellers outnumber the buyers. If you are moving or settling into a location for awhile, it is definitely a time to buy, because the price won't matter after 15 years.
