Custom Batteries In Electronics

I have a big beef with the electronics industry and their battery designs. They all have their own unique battery set ups. You have to use their battery because it is the only one that fits.

If they could decide on a standardized solution it would make it very simple to buy replacement batters and would lower the cost I imagine.

Fortunately, there are companies out there that are selling "generic" brand batteries. Everything from camera batteries, cell phone batteries, and even camcorder batteries. They may not last as long, but they are a fraction of the cost and work great as a spare for a day or while you other one is charging.
