I am not much of a decorater, but I do appreciate convenience and functionality in day to day life. I have found I have much more of an opinion now that I am a home owner as well.

Having an ensuite bathroom and an extra bathroom for guests for example. I would love this. We have company fairly often, but live in the top level of the house with only 1 bathroom for everyone. It is fine, but a bit annoying.

Having the bathroom laid out properly is also a big one. You can pick from a lot of different bathroom vanities and having something suitable is important. My wife and I currently have a deep drawers in our bathroom cupboards that are awesome. All the bottles and cans are able to stand up in the draw and make it easy to file everything away and grab out what you need.
