Ram For Your Laptop
My brother-in-law just purchased a MacBook Pro. One of the upgrades he did right out of the box was go from 2GB to 4GB of memory. I recommend upgrading RAM to anyone. You can't really go wrong with it on an off-the-shelf purchase. Mac memory really isn't any more expensive than any other laptop's memory.
Pony up and drop the couple hundred bucks it takes to bump the RAM. If they want more than that, then you are getting ripped off.
