One of the biggest upsides of the economy downturn has been travel and vacation planning. You can get great deals on flights and even stay in luxury hotel rooms for a fraction of the price. I was recently checking out packages for Vegas and they were half the price they were a year ago.

I'm definitely tempted to do some more travelling and cash in on these deals right now. Probably the cheapest time to see some of the resort areas of the U.S.
