Shopping around for auto insurance on-line is probably the easiest and smartest way to save a few bucks. I recommend doing it for almost any product. Some people are wary of this, because they think they are going to be scammed by purchasing insurance from some fictitious company. All you are doing is finding the cheapest rate. You can do verification later to check out their credentials.

Check out the sites, compare them, read the reviews (just Google for the company's name and add review to the end of your search) and even give them a call or go to their office if they are in town. Just look on-line does not mean you are going to buy auto insurance online. You can just do that if you want to and feel comfortable with it.
