I love shopping around for insurance rates and other subscription type products (phone plans, internet, etc). It is one of the easiest places to save some money. Based on your own personal preferences and needs, you just have to get quotes, quotes, and more quotes from various providers and compare what they are offering. You will be shocked at how my insurance companies there are and how much their rates vary and even how much they will compete for your business. An easy way to save $10, $20, or even more a month for something that is so basic. Sites like www.carinsurancelist.com are a good place to start. Even just phone a broker who has access to a few different companies to shop you around with can work well too.
