Electronics is probably man's greatest weakness. Perhaps fast cars or sporting memorabilia could be up there too, but electronics appeal to such a broad audience in a numbers of areas that it is hard to compete with.

If you walk into the large retailers, you will see tons of the 18 to 30 crowd. Lots of disposable income and a hunger for digital entertainment. Bigger is better. Faster is better. Higher quality is better. You can always upgrade.

I love walking into an electronics store and checking things out. It is like clothes shopping for women.

My wife and I have never owned a pet, but we have a number of friends and family that do. One of the things I am always shocked at is the amount of pet supplies that you can have.

I grew up on a farm where we owned a dog house and fed them table scraps. Besides a collar and shots, that was about it. Nowadays, there is a lot more known about pet health and things that can help train them or entertain them. It is endless. They make good gifts ideas as well.

With the sun setting far earlier now I find my get up and go is pretty much gone. My activity level is really low and most days I just feel like coming home and relaxing after work and not leaving the house. It is a bit of a dangerous time in terms of fitness levels. It is easy to put on a few pounds and just lose a lot of muscle strength from lack of activity.

Before resorting to pills for diet, it is a good idea to get involved in some active hobbies and just get control of one's diet. It will make you feel a lot healthier and avoid making it that much harder 6 months down the road when you want to work off the extra 10 or 15 pounds.

Christmas time is coming and it is time to figure out what you should buy for gifts. I sometimes dread Christmas as I feel like I am buying stuff just to give a gift. If you put a little thought and preparation into it, you can find something unique that the recipient will still appreciate and be surprised at

Analyzing people's hobbies and what they will get the most use out of can help direction your focus on where to look for a cool gift. Whether it is sports gifts, clothing, books, or just some movie passes, you never know.

I went back to the gym for the first time in months today. I've put on a few pounds lately and I figure it is better than weight loss pills.

I was playing ball hockey over the lunch hour, but it doesn't seem to quite cut it. I will still do it, but I think I will try some portion control and lift a few weights. Having a bit more muscle mass will increase your metabolism and help burn off calories even in a resting state as well.

Today's routine included some light running, leg extensions, lunges, incline dumbbell press, pushups, rotator dumbbell curls, 1 arm dumbbell rows, hammer curls, and crunches. Should be nice and sore tomorrow.

Christmas is coming and it will be time to find suitable gifts, yet again. Old faithful when shopping for women is all the lotions and soaps available from most places.

There is a ridiculous variety of this stuff and a lot of them claim medicinal type features like "at home acne treatment", wrinkle removal, or repairs damaged skin.

Regardless, they all make pretty good gifts and are usable so there is no clutter of stuff left over (unless she likes to collect the things).

I don't know much about building a business, but this blog has been the closest thing to one for me. It is still more of a personal diary, but it has taken time to develop the monetary side of it.

It has taken time, perserverence, and just an ability to figure things out and make things work when you want them to. I assume this applies to almost any business whether it is your own built from the ground up corporation, franchise opportunities, or even a small home based business. Just buckle down, use your brains, and get things working.

The era of the ipods is definitely upon us. I have owned an iPod video for a couple years now and thoroughly enjoy it. I put a ton of music on it, load up a few videos, and keep a mini slideshow of pictures which I show on occasion.

Having music in an easily organized and portable format has been a huge revolution for people and their personal music collections. I have 30GB of albums at my disposal whenever I feel like it. When I was a teenager I used to pick my favourite cassettes and/or CD's and slide them into my cloth case for whenever I wanted to go places.

There are a ton of gift options when friends or family are having kids. My wife prides herself on picking out clothes for babies. There is a huge market for baby stuff nowadays and you can find a ton of it on-line as well. Everything from clothes, toys, crib bedding, strollers, and other accessories.

The price ranges are pretty extreme as well. You can spend as much as you would on clothes for an adult as a child. The child will only be wearing it for a short period of time too.

I recently purchased a different car for my wife. She was driving a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra. A real classic that she was embarrassed to drive but the price was right and it was a very reliable car. She upgraded to a Mazda 3 and we are left trying to sell the car. I decided to drive it in the mean time. Mainly because it has really cheap auto insurance. It saves me $10/week over my 2000 Ford Ranger's rates (it did have collision on it as well).

There are lots of ways to save money on you car insurance. Compare rates, coverage, and look for incentives to reduce your rate (proximity to work, etc).
